If there is one ingredient that cannot be missing in a good paella, it is saffron. It is not just a matter of color, but of that unmistakable aroma and that point of flavor that transforms any rice.

For this reason, at El Paeller we have selected Saffron from La Mancha, Protected Designation of Origin, grown and hand-picked in Villarrobledo, as tradition dictates. Its red and elongated strands hold the entire essence of this unique spice that the Arabs left us centuries ago.

We always use it in our wood-fired broths and in every rice we cook. Now, you too can have it at home and follow the same process that we have learned generation after generation.

Keep it in a dry place away from light.

TIP: Infuse it in a little hot broth before adding it to the paella to enhance its color and flavor.
